The USA Pool League (USAPL) was designed to provide every player the utmost fun and excitement out of their traditional pool league night. By using the proven “Fairplay” handicap system, it brings the level of play to an “even playing field”. Players of all skill levels compete for cash and prizes. The USAPL also allows all members the choice to compete in the USAPL National Championship without the need to go through rounds of qualifying events.
The "Fairplay" handicap system uses game statistics and a computerized formula to determine player ratings. Every player will be assigned a temporary number to “Race To” until the completion of an introductory period. At the end of this period, all players will be issued a national rating number. (See Rules – Pg. 5)
Play begins with 5 person teams competing in a “1 on 1” match play format. After strategically choosing their players, both shooters play heads up until one of them reaches their rating number and wins the match. The action continues until all 5 team members have played.
There are 3 different divisions to choose from, each featuring a different team rating limit. From the Open Division, to the Advanced Division, up to the Masters Division, there is a place for every player to compete within their own skill level.
It is completely FREE to join the USAPL all the way till June 1, 2013. There are no national sanctioning fees, registration fees, or membership fees. One affordable $7 weekly fee does it all.
All player statistics, standings, and records are managed by LeagueSys, the state of the art real-time, web based league management system. LeagueSys is provided by the USAPL at no additional charge, and is available 24 - 7 for any USAPL player or League Manager.
The "Fairplay" handicap system has been thoroughly field tested and proven to provide close competition time and time again. Player to player and team to team, the USA Pool League will ensure a very competitive, fair and fun filled atmosphere for all.
